Call Scheduler offers some "pre-fab" Default Holidays to shorten the task of building your Holiday list. You may use these as outlined below if they meet your needs or build your own "Custom Holidays" if you prefer. You can make any day or string of days into a Holiday as long as the Holiday comes up every year and the majority of Providers in your group prefers only to have their fair share of it over the years.

Select any Holidays from the Default Primary Holidays List to use as your group's Primary Holidays by clicking the selection box to its left in the list then clicking on Save at the bottom of the screen. Those Default Holidays that subsequently appear as checked are now officially designated as among your Primary Holidays. If a Default Holiday does not designate the days for a Holiday the way your group does, or if one of your group's Holidays does not appear as one of the Default Holidays, then create Custom Holidays using the upper window of this screen. To Add a Custom Holiday to the Custom Holiday List, click on Add at the top of the Custom Holiday List window, then follow the directions of the next screen and click Save when you are finished. To delete a Custom Holiday from the list, click on Delete at the top of the Custom Holiday List window, the follow the instruction of the next screen then click on Delete to finalize the deletion or Cancel if you change your mind. When you have selected all the Default Holidays and created all the Custom Holidays that your group uses, your effective Holiday list will be composed of the sum of the Custom Holiday and Default Holiday windows.

The Holidays selected with this feature will appear in the Holiday Tallies and Reports for easy tracking.

Alert: After scheduling several times, be careful about deleting Holidays. If you delete a Holiday after it has been scheduled, Call Scheduler will adjust the Holiday history of call assignments appropriately. Although the Provider will still be credited for the day(s) of call, the credit will no longer be for a Holiday but merely for whatever Day Type the Holiday occurred upon. However, until you have done some scheduling, feel free to experiment with building a Holiday list that works for your group's needs.
