Secondary Holidays are different every year. Hand pick them individually each year depending upon the vagaries of that year's calendar. For example, when July 4th (Independence Day) falls on a Tuesday, the Monday, July 3rd is especially unpleasant that year and can be designated as a Secondary Holiday. They will be counted in the Current Tallies and reports, but not be listed separately in the Holiday Tally Report.
Directions!
Using the clearly marked Primary Holidays as a guide, select any date you wish to designate as a Secondary Holiday by clicking on the underlined date number. It will change color as indicated by the color legend at the top of the screen. To de-select a Secondary Holiday, click on it again. To change to another year, click on the right arrow next to the year at the top right of the screen to see the next year, or the left arrow to see the previous year's Secondary Holidays. Make selections for as many years as you care to, but you should be sure that your list of Primary Holidays is complete beforehand. Since your Primary Holidays (both Default and Custom) are decided by formula, Call Scheduler can designate them for any future year you choose to view. You choose Secondary Holidays based solely upon how the Primary Holidays appear among the calendar days of any given year as in the Independence Day example above. Both Primary and Secondary Holidays will be clearly marked on any schedules to help you avoid scheduling errors once you start making swaps and other schedule adjustments once the schedule is completed for any call period.
