The Day Off Scheduler screen allows you to designate Days Off for each Provider either one at a time or by using the "Range" Feature. Also, you can either "Unschedule" several consecutive Days Off using "Unschedule", or manually unschedule single Days Off one at a time. You can schedule any of several different Day Off Types. The DayOff types are represented as following:

  1. "d” - Regular Days Off
  2. "o” - Off Call but working Days Off Call Days. This indicates that the Provider is not available for Call Jobs that day, but is available for Work Jobs.
  3. "m” - Meeting Days Off
  4. "am” - 1/2 days off (morning off), or
  5. "pm” - 1/2 days off (afternoon off),
  6. "amm” - 1/2 Day Meeting (morning)
  7. "pmm” - 1/2 Day Meeting (afternoon)
  8. "cme” - CME day
  9. "s” - Sick Day
  10. "v” - Vacation Days Off
  11. "vam" - 1/2 Day Vacation (morning)
  12. "vpm" - 1/2 Day Vacation (afternoon)
  13. "l" - leave of absence

If your Providers don't have a regular "Regular Day Off", you could still use the "d" designation to indicate whatever other kinds of days off (not available for any Job) you wish to assign.

Directions!

View another month by clicking on the appropriate month at the top left. View another year by using the dropdown menu in the upper right corner.

To schedule an individual day off, click on the date number in the upper left corner of the appropriate date box. Choose the correct Day Off Type and Provider from the next two screens. The scheduled Day Off is then indicated by the lower case initial (m, v, o, d, am, pm) followed by a dash, then the Providers initials (d-PJZ). This method is most useful for scheduling just one or two days, or for non-consecutive days.

To schedule a long string of several consecutive Days Off, use the Range feature, or use the DayOff Scheduler Year View. To use Range, click on the Range box at the upper left, then follow the Directions on each of the next screens to select the date range and Day Off Type. The calendar then displays the designated Days Off for each of the dates of the range.

Tip: The Manual Schedule Year View may be easier to use, especially if you have more than one set of consecutive dates to schedule, or dates scattered throughout the year.
