Scheduling Assistant for On-Call Scheduling:

Before using the Scheduling Assistant feature, the following steps must be completed. The Scheduling Assistant will draw on this information when creating your “preliminary” call schedule.

  1. All the Setup Information must be complete, found under the first “Settings” icon (Provider Types, Facilities, Skills, Default Day Types, Jobs, Holidays).
  2. The Provider List must be complete.
  3. The Provider Properties of the individual Providers be as complete as you can make it. 
  4. Enter your Call Group’s accepted rules using the Rule-makers for Scheduling Assistant if you need to use rules (not every Group needs this item).
  5. “Pre-schedule” manually any Day Off information (like Off-Call, or vacation), and any Jobs that you have previously committed to.
  6. "Pre-schedule" manually all Holidays falling within the time period you expect to be running Scheduling Assistant.

The Rule-makers are found under the second icon from the left, "Scheduling", select Scheduling Assistant, Rules.
