How to Manual Schedule and use Tallies to get the loads balanced the way you want, Step-by-Step instructions.
To do this, you will need to go to the manual scheduler and select the month you want. You will also want the tally window open so you can refresh and see the results of your "tweeks" on the tally balance.
- Open the Tally Window, and keep it available
To get the tally window, go to Reports section (third icon from the left at the top).
- Select Current Tally, select the job and range (month/year) you want, (3 months if that is your usual schedule range).
- Click "next" and and a new window will open that will contain the tally for that job . It may take a moment for the tally to calculate.
- Note the Update button at the bottom of the tally_window. Also, note you can select job and job_range for the tally in the tally window should you want to tally a different job_range or update after you have made changes to the calendars.
- Minimize the window, but
keep it open -- click the dash at the upper right.
- Open the manual scheduler.
To get the manual scheduler,
- Select Manual Schedule (second icon from the left at the top).
- Select Manual Scheduler, select the Month View and then month/year you want to schedule
- Click on the date you want to schedule. A new window will pop open in front of the calendar. The jobs are listed with call-jobs grouped at the top, work-jobs grouped at the bottom. If a provider is already assigned to a job, the name is displayed in the dropdown menu.
- Assign the Providers to the Jobs
- Balancing the loads using Tallies and the Manual Schedule together
- Now go to the tally_window you minimized, and click Update for the job you just changed, and you will be able to see the new tally. Just be *sure* you have selected the correct job and job_range in the tally window.
- If you want to work with a different tally or range, you can select it at the bottom of the tally_window.
So, the Manual Scheduler, and the tally_window work together to balance out your jobs! Just repeat the procedure until you get a balance you want.x
Your Day Off Scheduler is found in the same place the manual scheduler is, (second icon from the left, bottom selection). It works just like the Manual Scheduler. As you schedule your days off, you can use the Day Off Tally to track the tally for you.
Tip: You can use this process with Manual Schedule Year View as well, or the DayOff Schedule Year View can be paired with the DayOff Tally while scheduling. For maximum effectivieness while Manual Scheduling, try having 3 windows open at once. For example: Manual Schedule Complete and Year View and the Current Tally.
